Big Spider Webs in Pakistan Spiders

This is creepy the first image doesn't even look real!
It looks like something out of an illustrated book...

An unexpected side-effect of the flooding in parts of  Pakistan has been that millions of spiders climbed up into the trees to escape the rising flood waters.

Because of the scale of the flooding and the fact that the water has taken so long to recede, many trees have become cocooned in spiders webs.
People in this part of Sindh have never seen this phenomenon before but they also report that there are now less mosquitoes than they would expect, given the amount of stagnant, standing water that is around. It is thought that the mosquitoes are getting caught in the spiders web thus reducing the risk of malaria, which would be one blessing for the people of Sindh, facing so many other hardships after the floods.

Murals of Alexander Ovachkin and Roberto luongo

Here are some snaps of my most recent mural project. These two murals depict hockey players, the one in red being Alexander Ovachkin and the one in blue Roberto Luongo. They were painted for a family in Kanata each on a boy's bedroom wall. Each boy chose the particular hockey player he wanted and gave me advice on how he wanted it painted. They were quite pleased with the final result.

Alexander Ovachkin was born September 17, 1985) is a Russian professional ice hockey left winger and captain of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League.

Roberto Luongo born April 4, 1979) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born in Montreal, Quebec, he is of Italian and Irish ancestry. He employs the butterfly style of goaltending and has previously played in the NHL for the New York Islanders and the Florida Panthers.

A short animation on 'How Lord of The Rings Should Have Ended'

I posted this because I thought people might enjoy the animation on the link below. I have actually considered this method of delivering the ring to Mordor after reading the classic a while back. I find people's comments on the little animation amusing.

In terms of fantasy art, I find these images inspiring.
